Carly Milyo
Founder, Yoga Instructor
Carly Milyo’s journey into yoga began when she hung up her cheerleading pom-poms in 2010, transitioning from a successful cheerleading career to a new passion. While studying Human Development at Virginia Tech, Carly started teaching yoga during her senior year, which ignited a deep love for the practice. Upon moving back to Atlanta, she eagerly embraced every teaching opportunity, building a dedicated following of early risers who looked forward to her inspiring and energizing 6am classes.
In 2014, Carly took a significant step by founding Thunderbolt Power Yoga (TPY), launching an online platform, and leading her own 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training programs. Her commitment to the yoga community was evident as she nurtured her students and expanded her reach.
The hardest decision Carly ever made was closing her business in 2019 to focus on raising her family. She now lives in Milton, GA, with her husband of over 7 years, their three children—Channing, Nolan, and Leighton—and their Maltese, Stella.
After a meaningful pause in her yoga journey, Carly is absolutely thrilled to reopen a studio in her new home, Milton. She is excited to bring her passion and experience to the community once again. Come say hi and join her at Homestead Yoga!

Avery Hinchman
Co-founder, Yoga Instructor
Avery started dancing around the same time she learned to walk. By the time she turned 16, she was burned out and looking for a new outlet to express herself in a way that felt familiar. With some family encouragement, Avery began taking yoga classes and quickly fell in love so much that she also started working at the front desk. She was thrust into the yoga community, and for the first time since quitting dance, she truly felt like a void had been filled.
After two years of consistent practice, Avery's sister persuaded her to get her teacher training certification. When the training was completed, Avery nervously avoided teaching for months until one day a teacher needed a substitute, and she was the only one available. Overwhelmed by the energy and community in that class, Avery’s path was set: after that class, she was officially added to the class schedule.
Now, as Avery embarks on a new journey as co-founder of Homestead Yoga, a sister business, she is bursting with excitement. This opportunity feels like the perfect evolution of her passion, allowing her to blend her love for yoga with the chance to create something truly special within a community that means so much to her. Teaching has always been about inspiring others and being inspired by the dedication and growth of her students. With Homestead Yoga, Avery is eager to extend this inspiration and support to even more people, fostering a space where everyone feels welcome to show up for themselves, shine, and dance.
In her classes, students can expect music that feeds their souls (and maybe even makes them want to wiggle their hips a little) and the permission to fall and fail without judgment. Avery hopes that each class at Homestead Yoga will encourage them to embrace their journey, celebrate their progress, and keep dancing through life with joy and authenticity.

Courtney Ballard
Yoga Instructor
Courtney’s yoga journey began after years of cultivating strength and grace through cheerleading, gymnastics, and CrossFit. In her early twenties, she sought a practice that not only challenged her body but also nurtured her spirit. Yoga became her sanctuary—a space to ground herself, reconnect, and explore the transformative power of the breath in navigating life’s complexities.
Motivated to deepen her practice and share this sense of grounding with others, Courtney transitioned into teaching, driven by a heartfelt desire to give back to her community.
As a writer, she integrates her passion for meaningful expression into every class, guiding students to connect with their inner voice and cultivate presence on and off the mat. Her classes blend breath awareness, intentional movement, and moments of honest self-reflection. Courtney encourages students to approach their practice with curiosity, leave judgment behind, and uncover their unique path toward self-expression.

Kyndal Weber
Yoga Instructor
Yoga has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a child my parents would bring me to class with them; of course, it wasn’t until I matured that I appreciated yoga for all it has to offer.
Yoga provides the opportunity to tune into your body, to acknowledge and give gratitude for all that it does for you. Your body is your home and yoga shines that light.
I believe yoga is a constant place to ground and find transformation. As a teacher, my goal is to create a space where you can turn inward, connect with yourself (body and mind), and find a sense of clarity you can carry off your mat. In my class, you're guaranteed a good time, good music, and a rejuvenated & refreshed body!
I encourage you to show up for yourself! Meet me on your mat & let the rest unfold.
